The day the Earth Shook!

OW!!!!!! And I was having such a great time watching our oldest son's dog trials (pointer). Rob and I followed  the horse posse in a jeep in freezing weather at the crack of dawn, in northern GA. The two that are running their dogs at the time are in front and the rest of the riders stay back.

The dogs are let loose to find birds and point them out. The winning dog is the one with the most "points" in the hour run.

see this tail pointing straight up? That's the sign.

Well the day went along nicely enough...

The new puppies Boot pointer puppies were enjoyed...

That's my granddaughter Sofia.

Robert had fun with the dogs....

so I decided to have some fun too....on Robbie's horse...

even though it had been many years since I've been on a horse and the stirrups were meant for a 6 ' 2" man.

 ...

It felt so good to ride again. I was about to get off and then decided to go down another road for  just a little more...there was a turn...I slipped.....hung on for a few seconds pleading with the horse to please stop...and then I went down with a thud on my back. My head hit hard and I felt something pop in my jaw.

My son ran to my aid and my husband took a pictures...hmmm!

Today I feel like I had been strangled with a wire... (neck strain)... the world is spinning even lying down (concussion). I  have a major headache and one spot on the butt that is particularly sore. The are medicines for the aches and pains but not for the ego.

Sorry for your fall off and headache. We did appreciate all the pictures you took at the Flint River Field Trial at Springbank Plantation, a division of Barnsley Gardens Resort (www.barnsleyresort.com). We enjoyed meeting all of your family and hope you come back to see us again, thanks again for all the photos.
