Disciplining your Children

I just read a great article that you all should read. It's about disciplining your children in church (not punish) but training them to be "civilized". It's long but well worth the read. I'm going to try to attach it here. I think the same method of training would work at home. It does nothing to just ignore a child when they are having a meltdown. It's hard to break away from what your doing but since parenting is your #1 duty, you simply must. Pay now or pay later in the teen years. You kids all know we didn't have any big behavior problems with any of you...and we attribute it to teaching you how show us respect, and how to calm and discipline yourselves when you were young.....plus having a lot of fun and laughter. We weren't perfect and neither were any of you, but we must have done a thing or two right cuz look how you all turned out.

Anyway read this and see what you think....and by the way, one of the author's children has cerebral palsy which makes discipline all the harder. as Robbie and Shanna know.
